Beyond Mendel : join the discussion at our Genomics Festival
Join the debate at our Genomics Festival on March 26th at midday.
Leading the debate will be renowned genomic experts including Professor Richard Thompson, Dr Adam Jackson and Professor Caroline Wright and chaired by Dr Frances Elmslie, Clinical Director of the South East Genomic Medicine Service.
Headline discussions will include:
- Prof Richard Thompson, Director Molecular Hepatology, Kings College Hospital will challenge the paradigms of Mendelian disease.
- Prof Caroline Wright, Professor of Genomic Medicine at University of Exeter will explore incomplete penetrance: an inconvenient truth.
- Dr Adam Jackson from the Manchester Rare Conditions Centre will be sharing his knowledge about non-coding genes, the disorders they cause and why we are only now able to diagnose them.
