Why not join our Renal Genomics Community of Practice?
If you work in renal medicine, we’d love you to join our Renal Genomics Community of Practice (CoP). We hold regular online meetings, hosted by Nick Annear, Consultant in Acute Medicine and Nephrology at St George’s Hospital.
Each meeting is packed with educational content and case discussions, helping you develop your understanding of how genomics could benefit your patients.
The CoP is open to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals with an interest in Renal Medicine, so if you join our team, you’ll become part of a supportive network that reaches across all regions of the South East.

The Genomics Education Programme has developed Genomic Notes (GeNotes) to support healthcare professionals working in nephrology. GeNotes is divided into two sections:

Many families living with genetic conditions find great comfort in connecting with others in a similar situation. There are numerous organisations that support patients and families affected by genetic conditions. Many of these provide information, support and networking opportunities to people living with one specific condition or group of conditions. Genomic Ambassadors Network for Nurses & Midwives:
Are you a nurse interested in learning more about Genomics? Join our Genomic Ambassadors Network for Nurses & Midwives.
We have a friendly network of Nurses and Midwives who help champion and spread the benefits of genomics within their Trust. We work with them, and their Chief Nurses & Directors of Midwifery, to support education and training in genomics.
We meet online on a quarterly basis. All ambassadors have access to learning, research, networking and leadership opportunities, involvement in transformation projects and writing groups for peer-reviewed publications.
National Lunch & Learn Series for Nurses & Midwives:
The NHS Genomic Medicine Service also hosts a monthly online Lunch and Learn webinar for all nurses and midwives who want to gain a better understanding of the relevance of genomics for their patients. Everyone’s welcome!
